About ClearCorrect™

ClearCorrect™ uses a series of clear aligners made of thermoplastic materials to slowly shift your teeth into position. The aligners are custom-made to match your unique specifications, ensuring a snug yet comfortable fit. Unlike traditional braces, ClearCorrect™ aligners are removable, allowing patients to eat and drink comfortably.

ClearCorrect™ is designed to treat mild to moderate cases of teeth misalignment. Prior to treatment, our team will meet with you to evaluate your teeth and bite. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced dental technologies (e.g., digital X-rays, intraoral cameras) that allow us to get an up-close look at the positioning of your bite, for more precise treatment planning. Using the information we gather, as well as your personal preferences, we will determine the best course of treatment for you.

ClearCorrect vs. Invisalign

ClearCorrect and Invisalign both use a series of clear and custom-fit alignment trays that straighten teeth conveniently and discreetly in order to give you a more even smile. Many Swanton patients ask which teeth straightening system is better or which will accomplish a straighter smile. At Dental Health Associates of Swanton, we offer ClearCorrect over Invisalign for enhanced clarity (meaning they are virtually invisible) and because it is minimally invasive. Many of our patients who have successfully used ClearCorrect have reported that they are extremely pleased by the comfort and the fact that people cannot tell if the aligners are on or off. ClearCorrect aligners are resistant to clouding from normal day-to-day wear, so you will never have to worry about the trays becoming noticeable to those around you.

Am I a Good Candidate for ClearCorrect™?

You may be an ideal candidate for ClearCorrect™ if you:

  • Have gaps or spaces between teeth
  • Have crowded teeth
  • Have crooked or misaligned teeth
  • Have an underbite or overbite
  • Dislike the idea of wearing conspicuous metal braces

Treatment Details

Your ClearCorrect™ invisible aligner trays will be custom-made to match your mouth and teeth. This is achieved by making impressions of your bite, which will be sent to a dental laboratory where your trays will be fabricated. We will also use this 3D model to create an individualized treatment plan that will gradually move your teeth to an aligned position.

ClearCorrect™ is broken down into phases. For each phase, you will need to wear a pair of aligners for approximately three weeks. For optimal results, the aligners must be worn for at least 22 hours a day and only removed for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing teeth. Treatment is painless, although you may feel some slight pressure every time you put on a new pair of aligners. This is temporary and should subside after a few days. Treatment can last several months to two years, depending on the degree of correction needed. Once treatment is over, we may prescribe a clear retainer for you to maintain your straighter smile.

The first step towards a straighter and more attractive smile is scheduling an orthodontic consultation with us. To speak to a member of our team, please contact Dental Health Associates today.
